To mark its 25th Anniversary, Donohue created a comprehensive corporate video to showcase its many client and employee offerings.
February 3rd marked the 25th anniversary of Donohue’s modest beginning back in 1997. We have grown from seven staff in one office to 120 staff in 11 offices in six Midwestern states. Donohue is now the No. 16th ranked wastewater engineering firm in the U.S. and has received over 43 engineering excellence awards.
Engineering News-Record (ENR) ranks Donohue No. 19 in the wastewater treatment plant category in its annual compilation of top U.S. engineering firms. Donohue is alongside many of the largest national engineering firms.
Donohue & Associates and the City of Fishers received a 2022 ACEC Indiana Engineering Excellence Merit Award for the Cheeney Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant expansion and optimization project. The project team was challenged to increase peak flow treatment capacity by 4 million gallons per day (25%) while meeting challenging budget and site constraints. Because of this project, cleaner water is discharged to the White River, 25% more wastewater is treated at a lower cost per gallon, and the refined treatment process is poised to meet the needs of future growth.
Donohue & Associates and the City of Appleton collaborated on an award-winning biogas system design at the Appleton Wastewater Treatment Plant. The project received a 2022 ACEC WI Best of State Engineering Excellence Award and is eligible for the state’s Grand Conceptor Award to be announced in April 2022.
Donohue & Associates and the City of Joliet, Illinois received a 2022 ACEC IL Engineering Excellence Special Achievement Award for phosphorus removal and other innovative enhancements to the Eastside Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP). This project addressed new regulatory requirements and outdated facilities, resulting in a modern plant producing a high quality effluent, an improved working environment, and enhanced community relations.
