Master Planning and Feasibility Studies
AB&H, A Donohue Group, provides a complete range of planning and study activities in all areas of the water and wastewater industry, ranging from preliminary reports and feasibility studies to the development of comprehensive master plans and hydraulic models. We have performed evaluations of the performance, operations and maintenance of major water and wastewater systems and implemented programs to improve system performance and achieve compliance with public health and safety regulations. Master plans for large and small municipalities, as well as entire regions, have been developed that will support the infrastructure, operations, and ownership of water and wastewater utilities into 2030. We also perform studies in areas such as treatability and site selection. AB&H has on staff engineers that have developed sophisticated models for the hydraulic analysis of water and wastewater systems. Numerous hydraulic studies have been completed for pumping and distribution systems which have resulted in better designs and improved system performance. We have widely recognized expertise in evaluating, designing and analyzing rate structures based upon fair and equitable allocation of the costs of service and system valuations. AB&H has conducted hundreds of system valuations, fixed asset inventories and depreciation analyses, and has provided expert testimony for clients as well as assisting in financial contractual negotiations.
