Stormwater Management and Flood Control
 |
The experienced staff of AB&H, A Donohue Group, are qualified to undertake the study and analysis of stormwater management and flood control for areas as small as individual properties or as large as major river systems in areas ranging from rural to urban. Our personnel include individuals with advanced degrees in hydraulics, both at the M.S. and Ph.D. levels, and extensive experience including complex computer analysis. Computer capability includes all of the commonly utilized programs to predict storm intensities, runoff, flood plain delineation, reservoir storage volume, backwater profiles, storage requirements, and necessary system capacities. These skills have been applied to complex analyses and designs of dams and reservoirs, watershed control systems, stormwater collection systems, pumping stations, large diameter interceptors, and riverbank protection. When an acceptable program has not been available to meet the analysis requirements of a specific problem, a number of proprietary programs have been developed in-house.
Hydraulic modeling programs the staff has access to, has utilized or is trained to utilize include HEC-RAS, SWMM, BOSS-HMR52, DAMBRK, WSPRO, FEQ and others for hydrological and hydraulic analysis on watershed, river, dam and reservoir systems. Other programs such as BOSS-Watershed Modeling System, BOSS-River Modeling System, Hydrain, and Storm CAD WMS are part of our software library.
