Bench and Pilot Testing
AB&H, A Donohue Group's (AB&H), plans, conducts, and evaluates the results of bench scale and pilot testing for a wide variety of utility purposes. Objectives of the testing may include determination of existing process efficiency and how it can be improved, selection of unit processes for new plants or major rehabilitation of existing plants, evaluation and demonstration of appropriateness of design criteria, and other related design and operational activities.
The firm has equipment available for performing more common pilot plant and bench scale tests, such as the use of ozonation for disinfection or the effects of mixing intensities on final coagulation and settling. For the evaluation of specific equipment, AB&H can arrange with manufacturers for the use of pilot scale equipment and will perform or supervise the evaluations in response to client needs.
